Santos & Sued are sharing their traditions and influences, from Portugal to Argentina respecting the roots of their lands and valuing the freedom of improvisation that takes us anywhere! Place where you feel a musical affinity from the first moment they played together. They present original compositions and unique sound environments, from traditional rhythms, electronic sounds, and much improvisation that unites the various influences.

“In March 2017, by an the invitation of the JAZZaqui Association, Marco Santos led the residency at Teatro Cine in Pombal for 5 days accompanied by great musicians of his choice: João Frade on the accordion and Diogo Duque on the Trumpet. The versatility and the various influences of these musicians naturally combined, giving rise to new compositions, sound environments and new discoveries of strong ethnic, jazzy influence and using electronic elements, loops, samples and vocal parts ”
This trio has performed in several stages and cities, namely, Pombal, Lisbon, Closing of the Festival Som RIscado 2018 in Loulé, JazzAqui in Berlin, Raiz Fest in São Miguel Açore, United Art Movement in the Netherlands, etc…

A solid and mature connection, constantly growing naturally over the last years with Marco Santos on percussion and Kees Gelderblom on 7-string guitar. Playing all around the Netherlands, sharing their devotion for Brazilian music and inviting many different singers (such as: Lilian Vieira, Ana Beck and others), bringing a happy mood to every stage where they step on.
